Yesterday, while visiting many of my favorite foodie blogs, I came to Katie's (This Chick Cooks) and her post for a "Good Morning Smoothie". I realized I had all the ingredients I needed to make my own, so this morning I got right to it. It was even better than I imagined:) It's a great way to start your day! Thanks Katie!
Good Morning Smoothie (adapted from This Chick Cooks)
3/4 cup blueberries
3/4 cup plain and blueberry yogurt mixed
2 tablespoons wheat germ
1 sliced banana, frozen
4 ice cubes
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serves 1.
Simple and berry delicious!

Looks and sounds delicious. Love that it uses blueberries in the recipe but I'll bet any fresh fruit alone or mixed together would be wonderful.

ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful picture, Sue. I just made almost the exact same thing, but poured it into ice pop molds for the kids (only I may have one for breakfast!).
ReplyDeleteSounds wonderful and for any time of the day! :D
ReplyDeleteThis looks delicious. I have fussy kids but one's that love to drink so I will have to give this a try for a great breakfast start.

Mm beautiful shot and refreshing way to start the morn!
ReplyDeleteI keep promising myslf I'll make and drink more healthy smoothies for breakfast eavh morning, but I never do - even with my nwish super kitchenaid blender. I love this one, although I think I might sub raspberries and/or blackberries for the blueberries. Yours look so amazing, I have to do it!
ReplyDeleteWow how beautiful is that shot. Mmmm I had a smoothie today as well, but picked it up at the shop so I bet it was nowhere near as delicious as yours.
