As you can see, I could not get him to look at the camera~haha!
First I needed to buy an elf, which my husband and I did last night. Even though we're empty-nesters, I plan on having some fun with this elf, unnamed so far:) Maybe our grandchildren can help us name him (they all have their own elves).
The little elf is not very flexible, that's for sure. I'm certain his creators had no idea of the antics that he would be involved in when they developed him:)
Tiny Cookie Pops
Make sugar cookie dough (I only used a small portion of a batch)
Free printables from Living Locurto (or make your own) to use as templates
Roll out cookie dough. Place cut out templates on the rolled out cookie dough. Cut around the template with a small, sharp knife. Use a spatula to place the cookies on the baking sheet. Stick a toothpick into the bottom of each unbaked cookie. Bake according to your recipe. (I baked mine at 350 degrees for 13 minutes.)
Let cool. Using a small tip (I used 1.5) apply the royal icing. I outlined with the royal icing, and immediately filled in with a back and forth motion. I kept the icing on the thick side since I was applying it to such a small cookie. Let dry.
This is day #5 of my 12 day countdown!
