These are as simple as can be, mostly because they started out with pancake mix:) I hadn't planned on making them, but when I logged onto facebook, I saw many reminders of both Nutella day and Pancake day, and since it's cold and overcast, I thought it would be a perfect day for pancakes.
To make these I just added a small glob of Nutella (heated a bit in the microwave to soften) to the batter that I had just put on the griddle, topped it with some more pancake batter, and voila, fluffy Nutella pancakes!
They are even good enough to eat plain~no butter, syrup or bananas required! That's the way my grandson preferred them...
Happy World Nutella Day
and
National Pancake Day!

It's like a Nutella pancake sandwich - HEAVENLY :)

I might just be the only person on earth who has never tried Nutella. These pancakes remind me of my husbands favorite pancake (with peanut butter in the middle) so how could I go wrong using Nutella!! Your pancake photo looks so delicious it should be on a cover!
ReplyDeleteP.S. And that little grandson of yours is ADORABLE!
DeleteWhat a co-incidence that both yummy days fall together. Love the smile of your happy little munchkin :D
ReplyDeleteYum - these sound awesome, Sue! And, your grandson is so cute - holy blue eyes! :)
ReplyDeletePerfect Sue! Two of my favorites, all at once!
ReplyDeleteThis is like my dream come true!! These look delicous! I was just telling someone that I would make nutella pancakes today! Of course laziness set in and I just ate some Nutella out of a jar instead...
ReplyDeleteWhat a delicious way to kill two birds Sue! :D And what a sweet, happy face to greet us too :)
ReplyDeleteLove these! I guess it's been forever since I've been to your blog--it looks so different! Love the new look, too :)
ReplyDeleteThe look on your grand son's face is all the endorsement I need for these pancakes. Precious :)
ReplyDeleteLook at those big blue eyes. Gorgeous he is. HE looks good enough to eat.
ReplyDeleteHe is beautiful!! Love the pancakes, too :)
ReplyDeleteYUM! Is this a real day!? I hope so!!
ReplyDeleteCheck out my blog if you get a chance. It would mean a lot to me!

Ooh, my kind of pancakes. We always add chocolate chips to ours, sometimes even Oreos, but Nutella, that sounds fabulous too.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to have your first grandchild baptized. We just had that in December. I did a post on it. It was a special event and hard to believe she is already eight. How time flies. We must have married when we were babies!!!!
Seriously... so AWESOME!!! I could not love these more. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, please! Pancakes + Nutella = Happiness
ReplyDeleteIt looks like your adorable munchkin thinks so, too!
These would be my dream pancakes and look at that adorable baby!!!!
ReplyDeleteUmmm..this about the most brilliant idea for nutella I've ever seen, so much so, and being a complete nutella freak, that I'm making these for dinner! I can't wait until breakfast! You grandson is just precious and he knows a good pancake when he eats one!!
ReplyDeletePerfect idea! Sounds delicious and looks like your little munchkin is really enjoying it... Adorable photo!
